I've always wondered how something can be "new" and "improved" at the same time. It just seems oxymoronic. But, after spending a couple of days redesigning The Art of Work site, and moving from Squarespace 5 to Wix, I think I can now resonate.
I've brought over all the Blog content, and much of the other writing, so the content is "improved", but now feel like I have this in a "new" form where I can easily write posts, and not feel sheepish about giving out theartofwork.com as my default work email.
I love that we get the mobile design almost for free. After using both Wix and Squarespace 7, I have to say that I've settled on Wix mostly because Squarespace pissed me off with their very poor migration tool from SS5 to SS7. Given that I had to cut and paste any articles I wanted brought over anyway, it made sense to use the platform I've become used to from my personal writing (see rae-grant.com to see what I was up to from Sept 2019 through Feb 2020). The old site will be available for a few weeks at artofwork.squarespace.com for anyone who is feeling nostaglic.
I hope you like the new look and feel.
